catch up time!

i had started typing out a huge whine, but there's a lot to be thankful for. james brought my laptop back so i can upload all our pics of recent activities. phoebe is adorable as ever. she napped for a short while today so i could relax and fold laundry (fun, i know). and james and i are blessed enough to have a wonderful home and everything we need for our kids.

speaking of needs, phoebe has two britax carseats. these carseats are top of the line and we could afford to buy one nice new one. i bought a second one for james' car off craigslist (shudder). i hate the idea of a used carseat, plus the model was smaller than her regular marathon carseat. today on kids.woot.com they had the true fit convertible carseat for $99.99 with $5 shipping. i called my mom and told her the situation. i've been considering replacing phoebe's 2nd used carseat for awhile, plus walter will need his own in just 7 months or so. i ended up getting two and shipping was still only $5. these carseats are normally $190!

and here are all the pics i've been waiting to show you!

our trip to the zoo with the grandparents two weekends ago. phoebe loves the bird exhibit.

pics from a quick zoo trip with mommy on our way into milwaukee on monday, august 31

doing what she loves the most....riding the ponies!
can't beat ice cream to combat the blazing summer heat (and that orange thing is the awesome popsicle/ice cream cone holder i bought for her awhile back. what a lifesaver!)

a fun train ride. choo choo!

and two rides on the carosel. she loves that she gets to go "up and down up and down" while she's going "round and around and around"
and we also met miss tami and jaedyn this week. i had coupons for oshkosh and carters, so we ate lunch and then tried shopping with the kids in our new double for a little bit.

phoebe has a natural skill for shopping passed down from generations including busia. she picked out all three of the shirts and i got a great deal on the pants with comfy elastic waistband for her. you can't beat 25% off already on sale prices!

many will say that boys get the short end of the stick in the clothing department. but little walter has quite an extensive collection of adorable clothes from my ebay finds, garage sales and consignment stores, gifts, and loaned clothes from jaedyn. he did, however, get these super duper amazing socks from oshkosh. tami said they are the best at staying on even if your baby is a houdini super kicker that can get out of any pair. they must be amazing since they normally want $14 for 3 pair of socks! i didn't pay anywhere near that!

since oshkosh and the childrens place didn't have 'the sweater' i was looking for, we headed over to gap. they already had their labor day sales on, so phoebe got this cute long sleeve shirt with adorable green birdies and the most amazing cream sweater coat ever. i wish they had one in my size to match. it looks too cute on her and will work so great for fall and winter.

and i found this cute one piece for jaedyn......stood there and stared at it and realized walter needed one too. it will be perfect when we go to eberts this year for pumpkin picking and hay rides. plus it will fit for thanksgiving and through winter. i love the colors and little tassle on the hood.

and the childrens place always has amazing deals on their clothes. i don't know how they are so cheap. phoebe got these two cute long sleeve shirts.

and then she found this set. here's a shot of her looking down so you can see the face on the hat!

it has a matching sweater and mittens. she'll wear this set when we go to eberts for the fall activities.

one more pic of cuteness. i put her in pigtails today which you can't really see from this pic. daddy is absolutely exhausted having to go back to work today after a week in vegas and only 3 hours of sleep their last night there. he came home and took a catnap and phoebe laid right down by him. note that she has two babies (ie two tags) if she stirs and needs them.

and i can't forget this little guy. james doesn't think it's a problem. we have a GIANT spider living in our 60" tv. This tv is supposed to be james' pride and joy and it is so irritating to watch a big ol' bug creepy crawl across the screen.

That spider is IN the TV? That's creepy! Great find on all of the clothes. They're all so cute!
