oh boy

i've been researching strollers forever. we own three strollers right now. i purchased a snap n go for $30 off craigslist (it's basically a frame that the infant carseat rests on). we have a cheap jeep umbrella stroller that is small enough to ride around in the car - also $30. and our main stroller is a jeep jogging stroller that was about $180. it is so great for phoebe's comfort, holding all our gear for trips to the zoo and such, and manuevering through crowds. i love it and phoebe has enjoyed it too.

i really don't see us getting rid of any of them. at some point our youngest will be the only one needing a stroller. as for our double stroller needs...phoebe will for sure want to ride if she sees her brother in there. double strollers can be as cheap as $40 used off craigslist or as expensive as $700+.

james and i had many many discussions about strollers. he's usually opposed to more baby gear. he doesn't understand why anyone would have a papasan and a bouncer or why you would have more than one stroller for any reason. i respect his opinion, but i am the one toting phoebe around most of the time on shopping trips, mommy and me get togethers, or trips to the zoo without him. i know i could keep phoebe in one of our existing strollers and carry walter in a baby carrier, but it would be nice to have another option.

i was looking for a cheaper stroller that had a good amount of storage for two kids worth of stuff and mine, easy access in/out for phoebe, fit our infant carseat, didn't look ugly, and folded easily. the stroller below is the graco quattro tour duo in soho print. first of all, those colors are me, right? you can put a bar across the front or have the two holders on either side of the child. those holders are meant for snacks in one and a sippy cup. so perfect for a toddler. and that leaves the front open so she can hop on and off like a sit and stand, but the seat reclines and is very comfortable. our carseat (originally phoebe's - not expired yet) fits in the back. this stroller in red is $279 at babies r us. i bought it with free shipping for $179. not exactly the $50 off craigslist i was hoping for, but it really will work great for us.

and since we were in milwaukee this weekend with family, the ladies decided to go shopping. aunt lorena, jenna, aunt lucina, mom, and i went to shopko, kohls, (snack at taco bell - of course), and hobby lobby. shortly after phoebe was born, i was at kohls and found a pink and brown blanket that was so amazingly soft. she received many beautiful blankets (many handmade) at my shower, but this blanket was just awesome. two years later she still loves it! kohls was having a buy one, get one 50% off plus i had an extra 20%, so phoebe will give walter his very own blue version of her favorite blankie! and with that 50% second item, she also has a colorful "ribbit, ribbit" froggie to hang on his carseat.
